Nicolas Profit Design
The studio develops since 2012 projects for interior and furniture design, product and industrial design and graphic design, searching for simplicity and consistency.
Nicolas Profit practiced industrial design for 15 years for international consumer electronics brands as a member of the Tim Thom, the design team set up for Thomson by Philipe Starck.
He has also collaborated on numerous design and graphic design projects within the cultural sector, both in France and internationally (visual identity and catalogues for exhibitions, design of art and architecture books, poster and communication for cinema production…). His international career equally led him to engage with diverse cultures, including Ethiopia, Japan, India and China.
An Industrial Designer, Nicolas Profit is a graduate from Ensci – Les Ateliers in Paris.
Today, with Mio Shibuya, the studio creates and develops bespoke projects in France and abroad for professional and private clients, spanning interior architecture (commercial and residential), furniture design, industrial design, and communication.
A Japanese architect and a French designer, our two cultures subtly inform our work, giving each project a distinctive sense of peace, a refined balance between simplicity and elegance, discretion and refinement.
Creative solutions, tailor-made for you
Each project is approached as a singular collaboration. We are personally and fully engaged from the initial concept phase through to the supervision of manufacturing and construction.
With you, for you, we develop original, bespoke creative solutions, specifically designed to respond to your unique context.
We work and communicate with you directly, without intermediaries, ensuring a precise understanding of your needs and a smooth, efficient collaboration.
Whether it concerns the layout of a space, the use of an object, or the development of a communication medium, we act as a proactive driving force in rethinking the existing, envisioning new layouts, evolutions of uses, innovative lighting and materials, in order to create the desired atmosphere and sensory experience: soothing objects, fluid and tranquil spaces, harmonious and peaceful environments.
We consistently seek out high-quality solutions and materials.
We collaborate with trusted artisans and manufacturers in France and abroad – particularly in Italy and Japan.
Through their passion and technical expertise, we are able to deliver high-end design services and ensure the precise execution of your project, as it was conceived for you and validated with you.
